Hi all,
I will be taking part in the NaNoWriMo contest. Now, many of you may ask what in the living hell is a NaNoWriMo contest. Well, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month.
The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30. The contest begins at 0.00 hrs November 1st and ends on 23.59 hrs November 30.
I would encourage all of you to give it a shot. This is the second time I am participating, first time was in 2004. In 2005, I was in Dubai and I did not have time to participate. This time, I am going to put my creative energy and my willpower to test. Last time, I did not complete it, but this time, I have planned on completing and I will try my level best to finish the novel atleast, even if its not 50,000 words.
If one started from November 1st, every day 1,667 words should be written for the novel to be complete on time. Since, I am starting from November 5, well for calculation sake let’s keep it November 6, I have to write 2000 words every day. So, I hope to try and complete it and based on my typing speed of 60 wpm, I should have it typed out in 33.33 minutes. That aint the tough part, the tough part lies in the fact that I need to think of something to come up with that can become 2000 words. Phew! I hope to receive a lot of help from you guys, I hope atleast this time you guys would post comments on my blog instead of just reading and going and dropping me pm’s on yahoo.
